Will puffer jackets / coats still be on trend this Autumn?

Are they still going to be on trend this Autumn? I need a transitional thing to wear as all I have is a very warm wool coat and a rain coat. Would like a light coloured puffer but don't want to waste my money if by October they are really dated, as I know they've been very popular for last couple of years!

I hope they will still be in fashion and I expect they will.

I think the last two years has changed how many women dress.

I think they're here to stay. Not least bc I think it's become perfectly acceptable to wear brands like Finisterre and North Face - which are outdoors, active brands - in the street and at work or in any play setting.
Go for it!

Have no idea but I associate the latest version with sweatpants and the pandemic, comfort dressing. Total guess but I'm saying more formal coats will be popular.

God I hope not. I now have an irrational hatred of puffer jackets as a visceral reminder of two winters spent trudging round muddy parks. I'm not saying that I want full on glamour but something a bit more stylish would be lovely

I dont mind them so much but find that they only work with either hiking trousers, leggings or skinny jeans. They just look odd with looser fit bottoms and skirts.
They are mostly hop length too, so if worn with leggings most of the anatomy is exposed. No idea how that took off in areas like the lake district, which are bloody cold and wet. 5 Mins in a hip length coat and you are drenched and freezing below the waist.

Did they ever go out of fashion? They were definitely in in the mid 1980s. Called Puffa jackets then though.

I'd probably get a longline coat length
