Ghost dresses

There are loads of 'em in the John Lewis sale, some really nice - but barely any reviews on them. Wondered what the quality/fit was like on them. Anyone bought a dress from there recently?

I love ghost dresses- I bought the Sabrina dress last year, in a size small, when I was a definite size 10 and it fitted perfectly.

I'm a tiny bit bigger- 10-12 atm- I've just ordered some more in the JL sale actually, again in small, so I'm hoping those will fit.

The quality is nice- I think at full price they are maybe a bit too much but definitely good value in the sale.

@doublecleansed they've arrived and they are lovely thank you! I would say true to size again as the small fit me as a size 10, but would just like to lose a tiny bit of weight for one of the dresses to be perfect. I've attached pics of the ones I bought- the long sleeved one fit perfectly but the short sleeved dress was just a bit too tight on the arms. Am keeping both as am intending to finally ditch the pandemic cider habit that I developed 😂 which should get me back to my usual size.

Quality is good as ever, very pleased with them.

Really? I've always thought the opposite. I'm a curvy / chunky size 8 (yes there is such a thing) and I find they cling to me in all the wrong places and show off every lump and bump. Not tried a pattern one (that may distract a bit) but I have tried the classic solid colour ones with buttons up the front and a few others with no luck

I'm a 5'4, a size 14 with a H/HH cup and Ghost dresses feature prominently in my wardrobe. I wear lots of different styles and lengths and they flatter my shape and comically large chest. They do tend to skim over my shape rather than cling.

The only ones that don't suit me are the plain satin ones, they make my chest look like two shiny zeppelins 😱

The quality is always very good, I'm still wearing vintage ones from 20+ years ago. They lost their way a few years ago when they changed ownership but the design team seem to know what they are doing now.
