What do you MNetters think? It’s a funny in between length, not long, but not short - does it work? Colour? It’s from Anthropologie, and I usually love their pieces - this one looked lovely in the pics. Most importantly, does it make me look thin? Lol

I'm not sure - It needs ironing which doesn't help.

I don't think the colour is doing anything for you and it looks a bit big on you. It's a nice style but maybe in a smaller size and different colour.

Doidontimmm · 17/03/2022 13:09

I don’t think the colour suits you sorry, makes you look a little washed out?

TheYearOfSmallThings · 17/03/2022 13:12

The top looks a bit big on you and, tbh, there is a certain resemblance to a bathrobe. It's not terrible but you can definitely find something better.

inappropriateraspberry · 17/03/2022 13:14

I don't think the boots look right, they're cutting your legs off even more than the length of the dress does. Try it with different shoes - flats, heels, trainers - and see what it looks like.

Pyri · 17/03/2022 13:16

It doesn’t quite look right, I think it’s a bit baggy, too long, makes you look washed out, the boots don’t match

You could probably make it work with some better shoes, an iron and some fake tan but I think you could get something that looks much better

Purplecatshopaholic · 17/03/2022 13:19

Thanks everyone so far. It arrived creased to pieces @PinkGinBigGrin - not impressed, but nothing I couldn’t fix with my steamer I suppose. And please ignore the boots (thanks @inappropriateraspberry), they were just slung on for the pics and defo don’t really go!

Its a bit something and nothing. Sorry

WeirdlyKind · 17/03/2022 13:48

You are thin! You don't need a dress to make you look that way!

SandrasAnnoyingFriend · 17/03/2022 13:50

I like it, it is quite plain but you can go big on accessories. Animal print shoes/statement necklace, bright lipstick etc.

Brogues · 17/03/2022 14:23

The colour and shape make it look like a badly tied dressing gown sorry - it’s the dress not you!

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 17/03/2022 14:28

It's terrible OP. Sorry, but it looks like a bathrobe in the last picture that's front on. Would work better with slippers and a towel turbin IMO.

You've got a great figure. That doesn't do it justice at all, plus the colour is so blah

shazzer1978 · 17/03/2022 14:30

I agree it looks like a dressing gown. You do look slim but the dress is bad and I expect it’s not cheap if it’s from Anthropologie.

Purplecatshopaholic · 17/03/2022 16:37

Thanks all. I think you are all right on this one - it’s going back. I still think it’s a nice dress, just not for me

Agree with the others - a bit dressing gowny for my liking really, and not a great colour on you. I doubt it was cheap. For the money you'll be able to find something much more fabulous!

Byeeefornow · 17/03/2022 16:48

It might be better in a different colour.

LemonMuffins · 17/03/2022 16:50

Looks like a dressing gown. Return.

LoveFall · 17/03/2022 16:53

Bathrobe/Dressing Gown was my first thought. Sorry.

fairlygoodmother · 17/03/2022 16:53

I agree it looks like a dressing gown. Could be nice in a bright colour.

HamSandwichKiller · 17/03/2022 16:59

The colour is the problem.
Might be nice in teal or similar brighter colour

Concestor · 17/03/2022 17:01

I quite like it. Are you tall? I can see it working on someone tall.
