I am allergic to elastane and lycra so have been unable to wear jeans all my life. Now i am a nan and want some jeans to run around easily with my grandchildren but can not find any non stretch jeans for my age, ie fitting, shape. could some one advise what i should look out for in jeans and where i can buy a pair without the stretch

I’m loving all the no stretch options at the moment!
Monki is good, I’ve got a pair which I think are called kimono which are just a slim leg, ankle length, mid rise, plain blue standard pair of jeans.
Looser jeans tend to be 100% cotton too. I’ve got wide legs from new look, cargo style from H&M and mom styles from Zara, Gap and H&M.
What style are you looking for?

Try Cotton Traders, I get all my trousers from there. They fit really well.

Most brands will have them but you'll need to check the composition.
Levi's is usually good.

Do a search on 100% cotton jeans

@nanasu, I wear jeans a lot.

There are so many styles. There are jeggings - stretchy denim and a bit like leggings.
Skinny jeans are tight all over and usually stretchy. You'll probably want to avoid those

After that you get straight, slim and boyfriend ones - usually with a little stretch but not always, and are usually slim fitting but not tight.

Bootlegs and flares aren't worn much these days but bootlegs are a flattering cut .

At the looser end there are 'mom' jeans, these are quite loose but tapered, and generally look better on the long-legged slim types (doesn't everything)

And there are carrot legs, barrel legs, wide legs etc, which if you do a search will give you a good impression of the shape
There are lots of other styles

The waists are worn either high or medium these days.

I usually go for straight jeans with a mid-rise as they tend to be not trendy but not dated, or skinny so I can tuck them into boots.

My non-lycra ones are from Gap and Levi's

Here are ones I think you might like but I don't know what the 'Other' is

I think you might find a lot of jeans have a bit of elastane in them, even if they are no advertised as stretchy ones. I’ve just had a look at my mom jeans from M&S and they have 1%. Would that cause allergy issues @nanasu?

Here are some 100% cotton ones:
Finisterre
howies
levi's
