@nanasu, I wear jeans a lot.
There are so many styles. There are jeggings - stretchy denim and a bit like leggings.
Skinny jeans are tight all over and usually stretchy. You'll probably want to avoid those
After that you get straight, slim and boyfriend ones - usually with a little stretch but not always, and are usually slim fitting but not tight.
Bootlegs and flares aren't worn much these days but bootlegs are a flattering cut .
At the looser end there are 'mom' jeans, these are quite loose but tapered, and generally look better on the long-legged slim types (doesn't everything)
And there are carrot legs, barrel legs, wide legs etc, which if you do a search will give you a good impression of the shape
There are lots of other styles
The waists are worn either high or medium these days.
I usually go for straight jeans with a mid-rise as they tend to be not trendy but not dated, or skinny so I can tuck them into boots.
My non-lycra ones are from Gap and Levi's
