Light glowy base - dry, rosacea skin

DS2 is on week 3 of an ear infection and I think I'm on the rocking chair with him for the duration tonight. So I thought I'd ask thiis by way of distraction

I have dry rosacea-y skin which is sometimes ok and sometimes flares, but I'm looking for a base to wear that looks and feels light, but has some coverage. I'd like to look healthy. I tired (on recommendation of someone in a rosacea group) the Loreal cc cream that starts off green but it looks really dry on my cheeks.

I just wondered if anyone had any ideas?

Offering sympathy with you and your LO and also place marking for the info!

Also following for ideas! The one I have at the mo which works well but not brilliant is infaillable 24h by L'Oréal. It covers quite well I think most days

I really like Clinique ID bb gel for a fresh/not tired look. The different coloured middle cartridges are supposed to tackle different skin concerns. It gives a really nice healthy glow with some coverage, not loads though so you might need a bit of concealer in places too. I think this would be better than going for full coverage.

Nivea tinted moisturiser!

I had found many rosacea foundations too dry on my skin so that make-up ended up looking caked on but normal foundations didn’t cover up the redness enough but I have now found a way that suits me.
I use a tinted moisturiser like Bare Minerals so that my skin glows a bit (well I have rosacea so I glow all the time but you know what I mean 😂), it’s very light and gives my skin a healthy sheen look. I then use the Clinique redness foundation only on my cheeks and nose where the redness is. This approach seems to work well for me.

Also I hope your son is on the mend soon.

IT cosmetics your skin but better CC cream. Amazing!

My recommendation is to start off with the Sunday Riley CEO Glow as part of your skin care routine and follow that up with a good BB/ CC Cream. I currently use a Bobbi Brown one.

I hope your son feels better soon.
