Best/favourite high top trainers?

High top trainers have been on my wish list for ages. I'd love some for spring; something comfortable to walk in, but still stylish. Preferably white or cream (few colourful embellishments is ok but not super-low in colour).
Not hugely keen on Converse. What do you wear? Extra points for anyone who styles them for me (I'm thinking just slightly cropped jeans with them)

In terms of not being a fan of converse, have you tried the converse 70s? I find them much more comfy and much more flattering on!

I had a pair of soft black Nike high tops they got lost in a house move a few years ago and I still miss them. I’m joining your quest OP.

@jimpamdwight I have two pairs of regular converse which get a fair bit of use, but I find them a bit flat and hard on the sole - I also think they wear through fairly fast. Are these more moulded? I don't use mine on a day when I know I'll be on my feet all day

Yes they are more cushioned on the bottom, I have a couple of normal high top converse and I never wear them now because the 70s are much comfier, they're are all round more structured. I actually took out the cushioned insole and replaced it with a more supportive one and it fits in well and makes them better for longer wear.

They are so much more comfortable than Converse I find, and will definitely be getting a pair in a different colour.

I have grey Ash Virgins, Some silver Diesel ones, some black & silver Paul Green ones, some old black Ash ones (can’t remember the style name) and some Maison Margiela (they do some crazy shoes but mine are more classic looking ones, can’t find a photo online though)

I wear mine with mom jeans, balloon jeans, used to wear with skinnies, and wear with skirts too - I find them super versatile

Get mine from TK Maxx, Vinted, eBay or charity shops so don’t pay much
