Sugar and Wrinkles

Hi all

I am about to start a sugar free plan for health reasons and wondered if I
might see a difference in my skin condition and wrinkles.

I know I'm not going to look 18 again but I did hear sugar makes wrinkles worse so hoping for a bit of an improvement!

Any thoughts?

I think when people start a health regime they look good for a while but then it seems to wear off again. Probably because they are miserable because they can't have any sugar Grin

Sugar breaks down collagen and makes it harder in a process called glycation. So not eating sugar will help to prevent further damage to the collagen.

Further damage... that doesn't sound too good 🤣

I do the perricone diet whenever I have an event coming up, it plumps the skin, therefore plumping out wrinkles, and really makes my skin glow. I can’t keep it up forever though as life is too short and I like wine.
