Botox for number 11's

haggeredat40 · 14/03/2022 11:06

Is it possible to just have light Botox in your number 11's or do you have to have the whole brow done? I honestly don't care about the fine lines and wrinkles but I have a permanent frown and deep number 11's that make me look cross & I'm considering Botox. Rightly or wrongly I wouldn't want anyone to know even my husband so don't want anything dramatic just a gentle relaxing of my frown lines. I'm in the SE if anyone can recommend a good medical practitioner.

Yes you can just have your 11s done , I have mine done, sometimes horizontal lines too but I have just had 11s.
Can't recommend anyone as I'm in Yorkshire.

Notsure1 · 14/03/2022 12:03

Hi, I go to dr Joshua in Harley street. You can just do 11s. He is amazing 😊

Notsure1 · 14/03/2022 12:04

Oh and I also had a tiny bit of filler there too. Makes a massive difference.

Definitely can do just 11s. Last person I saw claimed it would look odd not to do forehead lines as well but that's rubbish, just upselling.

ChickenStripper · 14/03/2022 20:32

I've sent you a pm with the guy I use in the SE.

CatsCakeandCosy · 14/03/2022 20:48

Yes! I have recently started doing this (after years of deliberating). So far nobody has guessed or said a thing, not even DH. I have a static frown line, so it’s still there, but much softer and I don’t look permanently cross any more. I have crows feet and plenty of wrinkles on my forehead so I don’t think I look “done”, just happier! It took a little getting used to but I’ve been really pleased with the results.

Twattergy · 14/03/2022 20:58

Yes I get just 11 done although she also did some.across the top of my brows to kind of support the uplift in whole area, not to affect any wrinkles (they dont bother me, its just the deep 11 lines i needed help with). No one knows I got this done but it makes a real improvement.

MumUndone · 14/03/2022 21:43

Me too. I get it done at the dentist!

lazybutton · 14/03/2022 22:25

Would love mine done too if anyone is happy recommend someone (also in SE/London)

I think theoretically you can just have your 11s done but a good practitioner will want to assess your whole face.

My main worry is my 11s but every time
I see my doctor she injects slightly different parts of my forehead. I still have movement in my forehead but she approaches the whole of my face in tandem with my forehead. It's working ok so far!

Cosmetica in Balham is very good.

I have botox on my forehead but I also had fillers in one bad crease which has lasted over 18 months and showing no signs of needing being done again yet. I then just top up with botox. I'm really pleased.

VioletVesper · 15/03/2022 09:52

I would like to have just the 11 lines done too but I’ve heard it can cause wrinkles in other areas (I guess forehead & around eyes/nose) to worsen as a result. Sort of overcompensating for lack of movement between the brows. Does anybody know if this is true?

imstilljenny2 · 15/03/2022 11:01

@VioletVesper I think this would only be true if you had Botox every 3 months and your forehead was completely frozen all the time. If that was the case then yes you would have to wrinkle your nose to squint or try and frown.
I get my 11s done around once a year (not enough) and don't have any extra or new wrinkles on my nose or forehead as my muscles are only frozen fully for a couple of weeks. The weeks before and after they are softened but not completely frozen.

VioletVesper · 15/03/2022 11:56

@imstilljenny2 thank you for replying, that’s good to know. I only really have the 11 lines so far, and not all the time but I notice my make up will sometimes crease there, so if/when I take the plunge I would just want that one area done. Thanks again Smile

I sent you a pm.
ChipPotts · 15/03/2022 17:43

I would love to have my 11 lines done too. Does anyone have a recommendation for the West Midlands area? Thanks

goodjoujou · 15/03/2022 18:56

I’ve had my 11s done a few times now whilst leaving the forehead and always very happy. A couple of people I know had foreheads done as they had really deep lines there and the skin was so smooth the light bounced off it and it looked super shiny!

dogrilla · 15/03/2022 19:14

It's great - it really is. A good practitioner will listen to what you want but balance it with what works for your face. Bear in mind that doing a single area might result in another area being overused (eg spocking when your eyebrows raise), so there might need to be a light touch elsewhere to prevent you looking odd.

IamChipmunk · 15/03/2022 21:31

I've recently had frown lines done. One in particular was very deep and its not hot rid of it but it looks so much better already.
Ive also had a little in the top of my forehead as was told that it would help to balance it out because the muscles between the eye brows can become heavy and sag.
Im pleased with hows its looking so far though and no one has mentioned anything other than my husband who knew I was getting it done!

This is so true. I haven’t had anything done. I’ve had crows feet since my 20s and I’ve plenty more wrinkles now I’m in my 40s but funnily enough it’s the 11s that bother me the most. They’re the only ones I’d consider ever fixing. I’d be afraid to get Botox or anything injectable in case I’d have a reaction to it.
