Hairdressers advice needed please :)

Hi all.

Backstory - I am a fully trained hairdresser, I just want others opinions on how they think would be best to tackle my situation.

I have had a half head of foils (bleach) for the past year or two, as I started doing my own hair during the first lockdown.

I've since had a baby and don't have the energy or even time to sit and foil my own hair - and as I'm on SMP I also can't afford to pay for someone to do it for me. I currently have about 16 weeks of regrowth. Natural shade is probably a 7 with a tad of golden tint.

My question is- how can I move from the highlights to a full head of colour (still light, but maybe not bleach?) I was thinking a natural 10 would be nice. However I don't want to damage my hair as somehow I'm going to have to get the sections that aren't highlighted up to the correct level without lifting the pre-highlighted sections.

Any advice or suggestions at all is so much appreciated.

Thank you if you got this far.

Realistically I don’t think it’s something you can do yourself. I’d probably tackle it by weaving out and lightening all the darker pieces first. Then doing the roots to make it a full head. I think you’d have to get someone to do that.

I am a similar base and a few years back I was a full head Koleston 10/1 (I think!) which was a lovely white blonde on me. I did this for the same reason, to do my own roots. But after a while my hair started breaking off at the crown. It’s just so hard not to overlap the colour doing your own roots. So I ended up going back to highlights.
