What beauty products do you never skimp on?

I've personally bought so many cheaper version beauty products the last year, especially from Aldi. Moisturiser to mascara has come from Aldi. Even the candles and peony blush perfume. So I'm wondering what beauty products are only good in their expensive version? With so many cheapskate dupes available for so many products, regardless of how cheap they are, what beauty products will you never skimp on? Why?

Bobbi brown extra eye cream

Nothing else (including the Kiel’s cream) touches it for dealing with the very dry skin around my eyes. Wish I could find a dupe! They now do refills so it’s a bit less crazy.

Other than that foundation/tinted moisturiser - no particular brand but I think spending a bit more makes a difference.

10 years ago I would have said perfume and foundation. Things have changed so much now everything can be found at a reasonable price, and high quality. So nothing.

I suppose it's a combination of some high end brands diluting their quality and the bottom end catching up.

DW foundation, never found a replacement.

I've bought the same No.7 foundation for 15 years, I don't want to spend money seeing if I like anything else as much.

What's DW?

Il Makiage foundation & concealer - such a great match on my skin and always makes me look fresh

Neal Yard Rose Facial Oil - I've used it for years, it's so beautiful on my skin at night

La Roche Poussay moisturiser & eye cream - again doesn't irritate my sensitive skin

Everything else I'm happy to switch & change
