Spring buys or spring wish lists

Much as I love my chunky knits, and am the world’s biggest fan of a grey sweater, I am yearning for lighter clothes along with lighter nights. What have you bought, or what are you hankering after, for spring?

(I’ve bought a couple of nice knits in brighter colours from &Otherstories and Arket, an over-sized leather biker from H&M, and some bargain Birkenstock Boston clogs in tan suede.)

Oh, and I really want a Levi’s 90s trucker denim jacket in the black colour way.

And now I’m after a brightly coloured blazer to wear with jeans and a plain tee. I haven’t ruled out that one, but it’s quite expensive so I’ve been looking on eBay/Vinted etc.

I’m also feeling like I just want to start wearing brighter and lighter colours.

I’ve ordered some vacuum packing bags and am going to move the heaviest knits out. I think transitioning to cardigans will be my next move. I have loads of lovely ones in mohair, alpaca etc, and a drawer full of cool tees/stripy tops. I can always wear a base layer underneath.,

Ohh, I've had a big refresh this Spring.

I think it's because the last two years have been so stilted and I've got loads planned for this year.

Loose linen knits in jewel colours. So hard to find nice ones and when you do they're always pastel, white or cream.

I want a washed black denim pencil skirt or midi skirt, but can't find one.

I'm also on the look out for a striped cotton jumper in cream/black, slouchy but not too long. Can't find one anywhere though.

I also bought some Birkenstock boston (taupe), looking forward to wearing them! Also these tops and shirts. Trying to find the perfect jeans but I’ve gained weight over the past two years and it’s very difficult!

Well spring is still cool weather, but I did do a little shopping this weekend. My splurge was some cacao felt birkenstock bostons for chilly but dry days, to be worn with chunky socks, 2 Arket cardigans, and some pretty white billowy blouses from COS to wear underneath the cardigans. I hope to not want to keep all the white blouses but will see! I'm new to wearing white and have really taken to it.

I have bought a Sugarhill Brighton jumper with a glittery rainbow on the front!

That Sezane outfit with the plum blazer and matching shorts looks really fresh. I think it’s because we haven’t seen stuff like that in shops since the mid-90s.

I fancy these. They feel a bit insane after two years of trainers and boots, but I really like them.

Lots of lovely things! Also pleased to see other Birkenstock Boston fans here. I have the black leather ones which I wear all the time for WFH, with knitted socks, and I thought the suede ones would be nice with blue jeans. I think mine are “mink” and they were reduced to £62.

I want the alternative to white trainers but as comfortable.

And the handbag that goes with coloured coats and blazers.

Wow @Pangolin44 that’s a serious shopping spree - that’s something like £3-4000! I thought I spent a lot on clothes
