Fashion trainers for city break - wide feet!

Bumble1993 · 11/03/2022 20:18

I don’t consider myself to have particularly wide feet but I really struggle with fashion trainer brands - think superga, converse ect as they squish my toes together too much. However in normal shoes, fly, dr marten I never have this issue.

I’ve got a city break coming up soon and would love some recommendations for brands that make stylish but very comfy trainers that look good with most casual outfits. I.e denim pinafores and more denim dress/skirt based things really.

Looking at gola grandslam and new balance (although NB are a bit too zazzy and I’d like something plainer.

Air and grace out of budget. Looking to spend up to £80

Thanks in advance!

Watching with interest. I’ve just got sketchers but they don’t go with my outfits!

I love Skechers - so comfortable. Not sure how fashionable they are, though, but I think they look good!

achillesshield · 11/03/2022 20:21

I have wide feet too.

twilightcafe · 11/03/2022 20:23

I can wear Adidas Stan Smiths all day with no trouble.
If you can extend your budget a bit, Nike AF1s are the most comfortable trainers I own.

OnaBegonia · 11/03/2022 20:53

I've just bought Nee Balance 337, for exactly this reason, very comfy and on trend, lots of colours too.

OnaBegonia · 11/03/2022 20:53

*327

Victoria are really comfy and my feet are wide.

Fitflop rally sporty white

I happily concur on Stan Smiths and AF1’s. I alternate between the two.

I’m a size 6, usually wear a wide fit, and I buy kids AF1 so they’re cheaper.

I’ve put my AF1s on eBay as I find them horribly uncomfortable.

I’ve got wide feet and Nike Air Force 1s fit perfectly. If your feet are size 6 or smaller, you can get them cheaper too by ordering junior ones at JD Sports Grin

I am obsessed with the 327s.

OP the New Balance 997s are also super comfortable but I think that the 327s currently have better neutral colours.

Fitflops

Bumble1993 · 11/03/2022 21:10

Thanks guys! I’m wondering about Stan smiths-
I do own some AF1’s but have found the same tow squish-issue (squishu if you will…)

Don’t suppose anyone can advise re:gola?

I have wide feet and vans old schools are all that are comfortable

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 11/03/2022 21:17

Another vote for Stan Smiths - I have comically wide, small feet, and they are perfect. I own black, white, and the original white/green colour way. I always get the kids’ ones so they are much cheaper.

Peachy7 · 11/03/2022 21:21

I find Stan Smith's quite narrow and uncomfortable, Adidas gazelles are better imo.
Nike Air Max 90s are the most comfy, but not with a dress or skirt
