Hi
What do you think of these trousers?

What do you think of these trousers?

I had very similar trousers in early 1990s and later. The ones in early 1990s were navy sort of jersey with a white stripe a bit thickets me than the ones here. Maybe with small rope tie? Quite nautical. I wore them with a red ribbed T-shirt. Am sure they were both from Freemans.

MinglingFlamingo · 11/03/2022 20:27

I have a pair similar to them. I really like them following for suggestions on what to wear with them

soulinablackberrypie · 11/03/2022 21:16

I like them. I'd wear them with either a fitted top or a cropped wide top, so there's some sense of a waist - I think they could look a bit shapeless with a long and wide top.

LawnFever · 11/03/2022 21:20

I like them, those saying they’re 90s - yep, 90s fashion is back big time, it’s come full circle Smile

DukeofEarlGrey · 11/03/2022 21:50

Yep, v 90s. Bad enough the first time around but if you like them then go for it OP!

onlymyselftoanswerto1 · 11/03/2022 22:40

We used to call them parallels in the 90's. I loved them but looked like a clown in them because I was so skinny - now I'm curvier I might try them again as I love the look

RayonSunrise · 12/03/2022 07:59

Funnily enough pinstripes were big in the 90s as well - I had a couple of pairs of smart, pinstriped, kick flare or bootcut trousers that I wore to work with sleeveless rollnecks.

Fun to see it all coming back.

DrNo007 · 12/03/2022 08:03

Fine as pyjamas. Not fine for anything else.

Mercurial123 · 12/03/2022 08:14

I just bought a similar pair from the Outnet but beige with a black stripe. I wear culottes a lot in summer.

LovelyYellowLabrador · 12/03/2022 10:56

Really bad !!

WeirdArchitecture · 12/03/2022 12:16

@Sexnotgender

I think they’re really dated.
which will mean they're current by MN standards, as 'dated' on here is often dated in itself, so people never seem to understand that such things are highly likely to be trending again before MN gets the memo! Grin

Those trews remind me of ozric tentacles at glastonbury 1992 or thereabouts.

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 12/03/2022 14:42

@Speckled1010 If you like them and you feel good in them buy them!! Whatever folk say on here. I could have posted asking what you think of these trousers. Some people would laugh. Some people might like them. It depends what you wear with them etc. I have found with age I buy what I like and wear it!! I love these trousers (in my pic) I had reservations as they appear a bit ‘out there’. Picked them up in a charity shop so gave them a go. I love them!! They’re my summer workwear go-to. I wear mine with black (yes school - with butterflies on) plimsolls and a long black shirt and I feel a right Bobby-dazzler 😉

Dontfuckingsaycheese · 12/03/2022 14:44

These - and yea they are orange!

What do you think of these trousers?
balalake · 12/03/2022 14:57

Like them, not something I would wear though, but that's just a preference given I am shorter than average.
