Hi there I have a family party coming up. Quite a chilled affair and have bought this dress. I'm hoping to get away with these sandals with it as I hate heels. Please could I have your opinions?
Please excuse the bags on the floor Grin

Dont think the trainer's go with it at all.

I like the pumps and the sandals second best. Can you get a bag or jacket to match the colour of the pumps or sandals to tie it all in together?

DSGR · 16/03/2022 21:58

Either of your DH’s choices are good. I don’t like it with trainers

Egghead68 · 16/03/2022 21:59

I really like the black ankle boots but I think all the options except the original sandals are fine

BlueFlavour · 16/03/2022 22:02

The tan sandals are really nice. Trainers also look good. I think it is out of those two. Which do you feel more comfortable in?
Hope you have a great time Smile

I already ordered a clutch bag that happens to be the colour of the sandals. I like the dress/ trainer look just not this dress I think Smile

I would go with the black boots with black tights and leather jacket OP

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 16/03/2022 22:08

Thank you so much everyone. My two best friends said the sandals went at first so I'm glad I posted Grin. This is my first family party since I've gone teetotal so I at least wanted to look nice. I think it does need a slight heel to lift my bum a bit ha ha

Either the black boots or the final tan sandals. I don’t think the trainers go at all.

Thank you. That's also still in the running

I think the sandals if they're comfortable, or I quite like the Lipsy white and gold trainers. The ballet pumps are clunky.

SiobhanSharpe · 16/03/2022 22:16

The heeled sandals, that is. They look elegant and dressy. Not the flat ones in the first photo.

Nishkin · 16/03/2022 22:23

I thought the black boots looked amazing without the addition of lack tights

Nishkin · 16/03/2022 22:23

*black

milkysmum · 16/03/2022 22:57

See I think either of the trainers still. I don't like the sandals at all sorry. We all have different taste though so go with what style you like, and what you feel most comfortable in.

Aria999 · 17/03/2022 01:04

I am going to be awkward and say it wants to be white but possibly not the trainers. Black fights with the dark blue, and the tan shoes just get a bit lost (at least in the photos) as if you had bare feet.

Corkina · 17/03/2022 07:05

Black ankle boots definitely, thrown on some tan and forget the tights...but then I'm a tan junkie...trainers don't suit that particular dress and the tan colour gets lost. I love black and navy together!

R0tational · 17/03/2022 07:42

Ooh tricky OP! You look beautiful in that dress by the way. I can see why you're unsure - lots of different opinions! I would go with gold Lipsy but what do I know. If I felt odd going with trainers and the dress though I would revert to your first choice. What do I know though! Have fun :)

Avocadobacardi · 17/03/2022 07:50

100% the trainers

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 17/03/2022 08:44

Aah thank you @R0tational 😍

Depends on the weather I think.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 17/03/2022 14:48

So I tried white lace up boots. Didn't work. It does depend on the weather I agree so I'm thinking these black boots this time.

Just need to decide tights or not. I think trainers would look good with a dress though just not sure it's this one

I think tights would look good with the boots, unless it is really hot.

newbiename · 17/03/2022 16:46

I think the boots. Thanks think you need some tights with it.

Concestor · 17/03/2022 16:55

I only like the pinky/tan ones with it. I don't think it works with trainers and the black options are too heavy looking in my opinion. I'd have gone with a white block heel.
