Post Partum hair regrowth

Hi

My hair is growing in again following the post partum hair loss after having my son. It's an absolute state- please help!! It's sticking up and all over the place. My 'normal' hair is very fine and so if I try and use wax or hair spray etc to stick it down, it just looks really greasy. Is there anything I can do to make it look better or to speed it up?

Thanks

Following as I have the same issue and I'm 2 years postpartum!!

Perhaps have as much cut off as you can bear to make the difference between the lengths less noticeable, this will have the effect of making your hair look thicker?

purpleme12 · 09/03/2022 21:03

Is it everywhere? Or just sticking up at the front or whatever?

Wee update...

Have cut it to my shoulders in the hope the lengths would be more similar and so less obvious

It's sticking out mainly at the front, kind of where a fringe would start from and along the first bit of my parting

I thought it would fall out and that would be it... it never even occurred to me about the awkward growing back stage and my hair grows so slowly it only needs cut 2/3 times a year

Following because I have the same, my little boy is nearly one.

I pretty much have a full blown fringe where it's all coming back in, which would be fine if I didn't look totally ridiculous with a fringe 🤦🏽‍♀️

I wore headbands for a few months. I don't think you can do much other than wait it out.

I haven’t had post partum hair loss but had the same issue after I can off the pill. My hair grew back but it stayed wispy at the temples and there are still bits that stick out and annoyingly won’t grow. I have tried everything but nothing has worked. I have given up! Just hairspray the pesky hairs down. Bloody hormones.

Littleguggi · 09/03/2022 21:23

Mine is worse than ever. I have long and short wispy bits that just stick up around my hairline and above my ears. I have wondered about getting some sort of strengthening something or another as I feel my hair breaks so easy since having kids

Lee Stafford humidify or shine spray.. light coating helps calm the frizz/ smooth down short / fly always that don't match the rest of hair.

Mine was like that for years! I used Argan oil to super condition my hair, until I didn't have to anymore. I massaged in and left overnight before washing out in the morning. Super sleek and with a light bit of Silvikrin for the front wisps, not a frizz in sight.

Years?! Oh no lol, not much we can do but minimise it as far as possible and wait it out.... at least we're all in it together eh? 🙈🙈 no way I'm cutting a fringe. Had one before and looked like an acorn 😂
