Period proof swimwear

My DD 12, has signed up for a swimming gala. She is due on her period at the time its scheduled. She doesn't feel she wants to try a tampon, so I'm trying to find a swimming costume for her. The only ones I can find are Modhi Bodi, but they're super expensive and have sold out of her size. I also found one on Amazon, but the delivery is not due until after the gala - 2 weeks time.

Anyone got any other ideas or companies I could try?

I dont want her to miss out for the sake of her period.

Thanks

I haven’t managed to find another company that does them but wanted to say that I’ve used the modi bodi ones with both my dd’s and they are expensive but worth the money. They’ve saved holidays from being miserable and swimming lessons being missed.

What about this? Starts in size 4-6 and in stock.
I can’t recommend as haven’t used this brand before but also looking

Thanks both for the advice. I'll try Cheeky wipes, I need it quite quickly and Modi Bodi are out of stock. She has the MB period pants and they are very good. God, but there expensive though!

My daughter has a modibodi one. They're expensive but good. However the older teen size no longer exists. Said it was out of stock for months til I contacted them, they said they won't be restocking and to buy the adult (much more expensive) ones

Update. I’ve taken my own advice and bought the cheeky wipes one. It looks identical to the modibodi with the split straps. I’m convinced it’s the same swimsuit. Anyway it seems fine.
How did you get on @MrPanks?

MrPanks · 14/04/2022 21:07

I ended up getting a Modi Bodi one which was in the sale, it was in the size below I needed but it did her for the swimming event. It performed well and she felt confident. When she’s outgrown it I will ebay it.

Just out of interest, is period swimwear suitable for heavy bleeding? I’d find it difficult to trust it on my heaviest days.

@SpottyPantsNextDoor

I’m not sure. My DD says they worked well and no leaks but she takes tranexamic acid so not sure how heavy it would have been.
