Liberty Beauty Drop

Is it worth it? I've never bought any beauty products from Liberty. I usually purchase most of my skincare and make up products from Lancome. What are the beauty boxes like? What do you spend the £20 on?

I’m currently sat here debating subscribing or not, I missed it when they launched last year... I have read people use their credit on fabrics and cosmetics. Some say they are saving the balance for the famous advent calendar at Christmas.

As far as I know there have been 2 boxes so far, last one was Jan. I looked on Instagram to see what was in them.

I’m pretty happy with it, the thing to remember is it’s basically a free box because you get the credit to spend. I buy Diptyque candles from Liberty so just use my Beauty Drop balance to pay.

I’ve signed up today and saving the credit towards the advent calendar (as mentioned by a pp) is a great idea!

Someone did a fabulous comparison of gifts with purchase and their relative RRP and the Liberty sub deal isn’t as good as some of those but I personally like the freedom to be able to spend in smaller amounts when I want something rather than all at once. I can also send birthday gifts with free p&p to a different address for example. Horses for courses - the boxes are just a bonus for me I suppose.

I’ve been signed up since the start and I’ve loved the boxes so far but I’ve been struggling to know how spend the credit! I find the website selection quite limited. I appreciate that you don’t have to spend it just on beauty (although they don’t advertise that…) Hope they never change that aspect. I’m planning to get either a piece of jewellery or the advent calendar eventually.

I have decided to join up too. I quite the thought of the box dropping through my door and being able to say spend £40 on a birthday gift and having it sent direct to friend with no p&p charges.

I have cxd a magazine subscription that I had as it was a bit samey after a while and will see how this goes

I've been using it on stuff I wanted to try but couldn't justify! So ouai hand wash and body wash, aesop hand wash, posh candles, Olverum bath oil.. some of the men's stuff is quite good, I just picked a category and scrolled though to see what I fancied

I'm just adding this to an existing Liberty thread. I joined, and really liked my free box, looking forward to the next one in July. The emails tempt me though. Anyone seen the latest 'box/bag' offer, one hundred Earth Pounds! Fortunately, there wasn't enough I would use in there to make me part with that sort of dosh

@Boppertini I fancied the bag too! Still feel I missed out on one of the Liberty bags, as I was a second wave join to the Drop, and they just came with the first box! Although I have far too many bags (not Liberty) and could do with putting some in the charity bag.
