Any recommendations? I suffer from Raynauds so need something decent.
Are north Face parkas worth it?
Like the look of Superdry Parkas. Not sure if waterproof though?

Looking at Rab etc but want something that looks nice too.

Love my North Face Arctic parka - very warm and definitely waterproof. I live in it between November and March usually! It wasn't cheap but much better than the cheaper coats I've had previously. My friend really likes her Didrikson parka also, might be another option?

Hey, so I have the Seasalt coat. It's warm, wind proof and waterproof. The best ever x

Looking at North Face. Wondering if they're worth the investment?

Didriksons are lovely.

DSGR · 07/03/2022 09:30

I’ve had my North Face parka for six years. It might need replacing soon but it’s 100% been worth the investment. West with a wool or cashmere jumper underneath and you will alway be toasty

DSGR · 07/03/2022 09:31

Mine is the Arctic parka

Iseeyoulookingatme · 07/03/2022 09:51

I have a reggata coat, it's very warm and waterproof. I also have Raynauds and find a lot of coats don't keep me warm enough.

Rainbowshit · 07/03/2022 09:59

supedry won;t be waterproof.

I love my didriksons parka

Fizzbo · 07/03/2022 10:11

Superdry definitely are waterproof. During her time at secondary school, DD had two (she grew out of the first). She’s kept the second one and it’s her “go to” coat when it rains heavily. I’ve got a Craghoppers coat that is both waterproof and very cosy.

Notagoodnight · 07/03/2022 10:12

Seasalt are surprisingly impressive

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 07/03/2022 10:13

Seasalt

BillyBilly · 07/03/2022 10:19

I'm not particularly recommending it as such, but I have a Superdry 'anorak' that is warm and waterproof- just a little short for my liking. I'm saying don't dismiss the brand entirely.
Super dry might be seen as a 'fashion' brand but DSs and I have had some good quality coats/ jackets from them in the past.

BobbinThreadbare123 · 07/03/2022 10:20

I've just replaced a worn out Seasalt Janelle coat with a Didriksons parka. I live in the Lakes and I need warmth and waterproofing. Been very pleased with the Seasalt one and I'd have had another if they had one on offer.

MsMiaWallace · 07/03/2022 11:02

Anyone with Columbia or Rab?

I’ve also got a regatta parka and have been really surprised by how good it’s been. Very warm and definitely waterproof.

WhiteXmas21 · 07/03/2022 11:12

Another vote for Didriksons - I have 2 and they both have the extra long sleeve inserts with thumb hole ( sorry I am sure there’s a technical name for those)
. I have a very old North Face ski jacket which has done well, but I find their newer stuff less impressive.
Layers are your friend though, and I do have a Rab base layer which is very cosy and washes/dries easily, but I find their jackets on the short side for what I want ( dog walking in Scotland)

TheVolturi · 07/03/2022 11:25

I have the Superdry Everest and it's the warmest coat I've ever had. And it definitely is waterproof. Pretty sure it's not even meant to be, but it is.

Takeitonthechin · 07/03/2022 11:44

Check our Barbour, mine is so warm

icelolly12 · 07/03/2022 11:45

I bought a North Face and was told it's 'chavvy' Blush... have since noticed a lot of teenage boys wearing them. I now wear columbia

dizzydizzydizzy · 07/03/2022 18:46

I have a Rab coat. Love kit. Light and very warm.

I'm not keen on north Face. I'm tall and find the sleeves too short.

AnnaDelvorkina · 07/03/2022 18:50

I swear by Moncler and they last for years.
