T shirts

Sorry for dull topic but what t shirts do you recommend?

I want a v neck mid length / short slightly tailored but not clingy t shirt. Not too thick either because they're for holidays.

I'm short and big busted so this works best.

EVERY t shirt I own has little holes at the waist. No idea why, I don't tuck in or wear a belt but they always go holey.

Mostly hush but a few White Company, Zara and others. All get holes.

It feels like a reasonable thing to expect decent lasting quality and shape.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Next ones are pretty good

TooMinty · 06/03/2022 22:10

I have some from Abercrombie and Fitch but honestly Primark ones are just as good. I'm not sure money buys you better quality. Following for recommendations to prove me wrong!

TooMinty · 06/03/2022 22:11

Also, meant to say I am short but small busted to help with sizing. XS usually.

I've been nervous of going too cheap since I bought one from Asos own label which looked like a dishcloth after a couple of washes.

And I can't see v neck in Next?

basic v neck t shirts seem to be hard to come by.

I know v necks not the most 'now' but I've got a big bust and crews look awful.

If you want to go higher cost, www.wrendaledesigns.co.uk have just brought out a spring collection. Cute designs, nice weight 100% cotton, lovely cut & fit v neck t shirts. I treated myself and was absolutely delighted. Washed lovely & felt really nice to wear.

This is one of the designs

Thank you, I'm near an Asda so might take a look.

I don't really do designs and motifs though so will stick to plain.

I bought a couple of V neck Ts from Superdry via Next. The logo is very small on side of the garment so not noticeable. Organic cotton and model mix, come in variety of colours, I think they were £17.

I second Primark. Wash really well. As good,if not better, than many expensive t-shirts for me and definitely better than GAP.

duvetdayforeveryone · 07/03/2022 16:33

No advice I'm afraid, but not a dull topic at all @ThinkAboutItTomorrow

duvetdayforeveryone · 07/03/2022 16:34

Primark is definitely worth a look. If not, Primark Home section is also fun to browse :)

Amelion · 07/03/2022 16:43

Sunspel make the very best t-shirts… although not many V-necks they do have a couple:

I had a point where all my tshirts and a fair few shirts went holey at the waist OP - turned out it was where jeans buttons met the edge of my conposite kitchen counter. Cost me a fortune before I worked it out though!

TerriblyNaice · 07/03/2022 22:16

I was shocked that the v neck t-shirts I bought two years ago and washed very often, are still pretty good.
They were from Morrisons.

CowsAreNotGreen · 07/03/2022 22:18

GAP are awful

Rooma · 07/03/2022 22:20

I love the v neck tee that cos has been selling for the last year or so. They have recently expanded the colour options. £17 which I think is great value for cos.

CowsAreNotGreen · 07/03/2022 22:21

It's called Next Slouch V Neck T shirt. But they might look too slouchy for what you're after

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 08/03/2022 11:22

Ooh. The next ones do look promising. Thanks.

I really rate the t shirts on I saw it first.
Good quality & fit.
If it says oversized & you want it fitted size down otherwise just get your normal size!

LaTangerina · 08/03/2022 11:42

I prefer them over the next ones.
I used to buy next ones for many many years.
I accidentally put on my teen daughters I saw it first t shirt & wore it out 😂 I couldn't believe how nicely it fit!
So had to buy some for myself.
Admittedly hers said something about Baby Girl on 😂 I got myself some plain ones.

LethargeMarg · 08/03/2022 11:45

I got some lovely v next t shirts from m and a last summer - subtle tie dye and really comfy - loose fitting without being shapeless . Also like jack wills but they can be weirdly sized .

FastFood · 08/03/2022 11:54

COS V neck t-shirts are great.
