Trainer socks that stay up

Could anyone suggest trainer liners/socks that will actually stay on my feet and not fall down under my heel please. They drive me round the bend doing this.

Normal sized 5.5 feet.

Calvin Klein or M&S!

SoupDragon · 06/03/2022 15:43

Primark are great.

PaniniHead · 06/03/2022 15:50

Second primark. Never had an issue with them slipping down

Soontobe60 · 06/03/2022 15:51

I think this is down to the type of trainers you’re wearing! (or the shape of your feet)
Someone should invent trainer socks with little loops on the back and trainers with little ties in the back so you can anchor the socks to the shoes 😂😂

Tesco ones have always been good for me

BlueBlueCowWondering · 06/03/2022 15:59

I've found it best to buy boys trainer socks. Both M&S and John Lewis stay up for me. They're also cheaper than women's and I prefer the colours.

liveforsummer · 06/03/2022 16:00

Tesco and primark but not the basic ones. The ones I've done that stay up are the slightly stretchier fine waffle/woven type material

MsDastardley · 06/03/2022 16:03

I’ve yet to find one and have tried loads. I started a post about this a while back and had quite a few suggestions. I thought I had found the answer with some Nike liners. They were great for a few wears and then started slipping. I wonder if washing made the little silicone grip thing less effective…. I am still looking!

I concluded last year that there are none - after extensive personal trial and error. My solution was to buy thin ankle socks and roll them them down. Looks nice and neat but also comfortable

DietrichandDiMaggio · 06/03/2022 16:36

Another vote for Primark, but make sure you get the sports footies.

I buy men's ones - they cover a bit more at the back but they stay up. I did hear the Primark ones have a bit of rubbery stuff that prevents them slipping, so I'll try those next.

Clymene · 06/03/2022 16:44

You need them with silicon bits that stick to the back of your heel. H&M do them or I have bamboo ones I got via Amazon

TheBitterBoy · 06/03/2022 16:46

I find the more towelling sports style ones stay on well, and the ones that are more cottony standard sock material slip off all the time. I've had Adidas, puma, Reebok from tkmaxx, all good

Masdintle · 06/03/2022 16:48

I miss the bobbles on the back thing Smile

jowly · 06/03/2022 16:52

@DietrichandDiMaggio if you took that pic just for us, thank you

Primark black with coloured toes/ heels . Brilliant and so affordable! Win win !

WhatIsThisPlease · 06/03/2022 17:01

M&S are the only ones that stay in place for DD and me. These ones...

They have a sort of band round the middle. I've been buying them for years, beat all the expensive 'branded' ones I've tried.

Skechers, but only the ones that cover your whole foot up to just under ankle bone. The others that hook over your heel and toes never work for me regardless of where they're from.

Glowinglights · 06/03/2022 17:46

I like the souluxe socks from Matalan - they are also a bit higher than your trainer but stay put and are really comfortable

cannaethink · 06/03/2022 18:41

Primark for me too. The sporty slightly thicker ones.

No, I found it online, but I thought it was easier to show the ones to get than describe them.Smile

Asics with the lip on the heel.

Greyhare · 06/03/2022 19:01

I like golf socks with a bobble as most normal trainer socks slip down on me, Glenmuir ones are good www.glenmuir.com/catalogue/ladies-fashion-secret-golf-socks-with-pompom?gclid=CjwKCAiA1JGRBhBSEiwAxXblwULk3F-Z43GLIXJe0jO_wNmU0pABGhBEQqS3Ioc_-tTh-xqNCayplhoCGAcQAvD_BwE&instance_id=159932
