Esprit experiences?

No one seems to mention Esprit much on here but have just ordered a few tops from them and pleasantly surprised. They have a lot of jewel colours like teal and burgundy ( hate fashionable sludge and pastels), a lot of cotton and better quality viscose and some flowy blouses for the middle aged menopausal woman. Wondering if they will wash well and puzzled why they never seem to be mentioned on here. They are also very reasonably priced given even Hush seems to charge triple the price for 100 % polyester. ( Not an ad honest!)

I find their clothes come up a bit big on me (top 10-12, bottom 8). MIL buys me clothes from there quite often. It is very sensible stuff, agree with pp that it is very work appropriate. They have another brand called EDC too. They are in most German/ Central European towns and department stores.

Prefer Benetton to Esprit.

They took ages to arrive and the sizes were really off.

I’m size 10 & I checked the measurements for the waist of the trousers I was ordering really carefully. I was gutted when they were really big because they were lovely but didn’t think it worth the risk of exchanging for the next size down & have to go through the hassle of a second return.

As returns are free & easy, I often order a couple of sizes and pick the best one.

I also like Esprit. Their jeans are great on me. I am another one who prefers Benetton as their sizes are smaller so better fit on me.

I have quite a bit of Esprit. As a previous poster mentioned they have lots of cotton so I have several cotton jumpers and lots of T-shirts from them. I also love their super stretch jeans - just wish they came in more colours. All have worn well.

@EdwinsActsOfKindness

I live in Denmark and recently noticed that most of my wardrobe is Esprit 😳

I find it washes pretty well and they do lots of good basics. I generally buy in their sales or when they’re having promotions (they have a Friends club which regularly do 20% off for example).

When I went to Copenhagen I was amazed at the quality in Esprit. The Danish shop had lots classy ,muted basics than seemed to so suit all the elegant, beautiful Scandinavian women around. I loved Copenhagen- I had the best cake I have ever eaten in my life there!

I love Esprit; I find the trouser sizing a bit weird but like the fact that their blouses are generous on top. They did some great work tops a couple of years ago with elasticated waist that covered a multitude of sins. Nothing cutting edge but good quality and long lasting!
