Or fake? Looking at a REN eye cream it's usualy £35 but in their site it's currently on sale for £24. Had a look else where and amazon are selling it for 16.99 with prime next day deliver. It cant be real can it?

Maybe I'm being really naive here but I thought everything on Amazon was the real deal is his not the case?

babyjellyfish · 04/03/2022 21:14

I bought some Clinique moisturiser on Amazon and I'm sure it was the real deal.

BoodleBug51 · 04/03/2022 21:35

I used to buy lots of stuff on Amazon, but lately I've bought a few things that haven't appeared to be genuine.

Any form of toiletries or cosmetics seem to be the worst offenders. I last ordered some Nioxin hair stuff and it was in different packaging/smelt different. I didn't risk using it.

Make sure it sells from Amazon direct and not 3rd party sellers.

Discwriter · 04/03/2022 21:39

I am also probably naive but thought f it's bought directly from Amazon ie not 3rd-party, it's real.

Doanythingforlove · 04/03/2022 21:42

With toiletries and beauty products, I always assume it’s not the real deal unless it’s from the official website.

nancybotwinbloom · 04/03/2022 22:07

@BoodleBug51 can you share what you thought has been a dupe?

I've bought perfume etc with no issue but never any skin care items.

RatInADollhouse · 04/03/2022 22:08

Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn’t. If it’s that much cheaper OP I would assume it’s fake.

alwaysstressed · 04/03/2022 22:10

Fake, fake, fake! I don't trust ebay either.

What so you wouldn't trust Clinique bought from John Lewis online? Get over yourself.
Babyvenusplant · 04/03/2022 22:14

I bought my favourite max factor mascara once on amazon, it was 100% a fake sadly. Half way through the day it started to run and made my eyes burn 😳 never had that issue with the authentic one

PepaMadrigal · 04/03/2022 22:17

@Babyvenusplant I’ve had exactly the same thing with mascara from Amazon. I’ll never risk getting any cosmetics from there again.

Fedupsotired · 04/03/2022 22:17

Amazon known for being dodgy about cosmetics

PeggyGa · 04/03/2022 22:32

No way!

Cstring · 05/03/2022 08:10

I would assume it’s a fake, it’s just too cheap.

WaterTheBasil · 05/03/2022 08:12

Prime delivery didn't mean it's sold by Amazon itself. It can still be a third party seller.

KindlyKanga · 05/03/2022 08:15

I would go without rather than buy something I didn't 100% trust
