Tanning drops

Off on a sun holiday at Easter and trying to look less like death. I got the Isle of Paradise tanning drops but not really getting on with them. I look quite orange and, no matter how much I scrub my palms, they still look orange the next day. Any recommendations for something less orange? Also on the hunt for something for my face. Thanks.

Luxe Tan are amazing.

WeddingFavour · 02/03/2022 13:37

Oh, I have no recommendations as I came on to recommend Isle of Paradise. Are you using the right shade/number of drops for your skin colour, and moisturising your hands and other dry areas first, and washing hands and nails thoroughly after application? I find IoP really good but Tan Luxe rubbish, but other people rave about Tan Luxe. Maybe it just depends on your skin/technique.

Lol at the cross-post Grin

Tan luxe for me too

St Tropez spray for the face - purity face mist I think it's called! Amazing, lovely colour and bonus of not using your hands so no orange palms.

Another vote for the St Tropez purity face mist, I find it much easier than the drops.

I'm using the light so I thought that would be safe enough. I just look a bit orange. I SCRUB my hands afterwards but my palms are still quite orange. Backs of my hand white and now quite a contrast to my arms! It's a tanning fail all around I think!

I like skinny tan. They have tanning drops, but also a ‘tan and tone oil’ which is my absolute fave, not too impressed with the cream though.

LouiseBelchersBunnyEars · 02/03/2022 14:19

And the oil smells like coconut, not that weird biscuity smell

Wagsandclaws · 02/03/2022 14:23

I'm ridiculously pale and I sue the garnier ambre natural bronzer self tan mist.

I like it because I don't have to touch it I just spray it on the areas I want it and it works brilliantly.

I have tried clarins tanning drops, st tropez, bondi sands and everything in between and I always go back to this.

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 02/03/2022 14:23

I don't know what they're a dupe of, but Aldi's tanning drops are really good. And for the price you might as well give them a go!

PastelGiraffe · 02/03/2022 19:25

I’ve tried them all and now highly recommend SoSu dripping gold wonder water tanning mist with the Tanologist brush. Absolute match made in heaven. I spray lightly, then blend in using this beauty of a brush which is perfectly contoured to my face, then I don’t even have to wash my hands afterwards.

You’re welcome.

3dogsnorth · 02/03/2022 22:35

A bit more expensive but I used to use Clarins tanning drops which were great!

Online, currently using Tropic. Up to 6 drops mixed in with moisturiser as a carrier at night. Natural glow next morning. No transfer onto bedding

Thanks everyone. I will check these out. Looking for a vegan and cruelty free option, just to make things more complicated!
