I realised today that I'm wearing my nice foundation NARs and too faced a lot.. It's quite expensive so I'd rather just save it for when I'm going out properly and not just to baby classes!
Any recommendations?

The no7 ones are good and there's often a voucher for money off in boots

Bigdreamer9 · 01/03/2022 21:35

L’Oréal infallible, closest to Estée Lauder double wear I’ve ever found. The no.7 ones made my skin look very grey

OrangeBlossom28 · 01/03/2022 21:37

Revlon Colourstay lasts all day and has a lovely finish.

emsmar · 01/03/2022 21:39

The ordinary foundations are actually pretty decent! If it's nars radiant longwear you wear and manage to find a dupe then please come back and share! It's my daily foundation just now!

Yes! Totally agree. I always have two foundations on the go, ELDW and infallible. Infallible for daily wear and EL for going out or occasions.

Maybelline super stay or L'Oréal infallible are my all time fave budget ones. I know a lot of people don't like SHEIN but their foundation is incredible . Better than some high end ones I've had .

Tinks15 · 01/03/2022 22:34

@emsmar mine too - my absolute fav! Nothing compares.

Savvysix1984 · 01/03/2022 22:37

Agree with L'Oréal

lostinthoughts · 01/03/2022 22:48

L'Oréal true match

HarrietSchulenberg · 01/03/2022 22:58

I have the budgetiest of budget foundations - Photoshoot by W7 - and it's marvellous. It's light and I apply it very, very thinly with a brush. It looks barely there and stays on all day. Only downside is I need a swish of powder on my nose as it's got a "radiant" finish so makes it a little shiny, but for under £5 I'm not complaining.
I'm 51, pale, fairly oily skin with occasional rosacea.

QuizzicalEyebrows · 02/03/2022 00:55

I use CYO as my budget foundation.

sageandbasil · 02/03/2022 12:11

Great thanks for the suggestions! I'll check these out! I love the Nars one because the others just make me look yellow for some reason!

I was recommended The Ordinary by a makeup artist.

MangoLipstick · 02/03/2022 12:17

Another one saying The Ordinary foundation. It’s less then £6, v.good even coverage, not too heavy, looks quite dewy and natural on my skin.

Catrice · 02/03/2022 12:24

The Ordinary serum foundation is my current favourite. It's very light coverage but looks very natural and matches my skin tone perfectly! Plus it's cheap!

DiscoBadgers · 02/03/2022 12:25

I usually use NARS sheer glow or tinted moisturiser but have just discovered Rimmel kind and free skin tint and surprisingly it’s really good!

RatherBeRiding · 02/03/2022 12:31

Primark (yes, really!) and Revolution Pro are my budget go-tos. Surprising effective, cheap and cruelty-free.

QuizzicalEyebrows · 02/03/2022 14:56

I hated all of the Ordinary foundations they were awful. I don't use any of their skincare products anymore either as there so many infinitely better ones out there. There products are a good starting block for skin care but if you want real results then look elsewhere

QuizzicalEyebrows · 02/03/2022 14:56

Ahh their products

I was coming on to say this! I bought some primark foundation in desperation once and was actually really impressed, I've used three different formulations and they have all been pretty good. I also really rate their £1 blushers. Worth a punt because their makeup is so cheap that if it doesn't suit you then it's not a big loss.
sageandbasil · 07/03/2022 20:55

Thanks for all the recommendations, I went with L'Oréal infallible and am really impressed!

QuizzicalEyebrows what foundation and skincare would you recommend please?

CheapFoodShits · 11/03/2022 07:24

L'Oréal Infallible Freshwear and Primark Double Coverage. The Primark one is called a "matte" foundation but I wouldn't call it fully matte. It gives excellent coverage but has a slight dewiness to it.
