Waxing Virgin

Just wondered how much waxing actually hurts?
Have let everywhere go quite a bit wild recently (apart from under arms!)
I'm not one for bothering to maintain on a regular basis but do prefer less hair if my schedule will allow me the time to crack out the hedge trimmer Grin
As a mothers day gift this year DH has booked me a massage which also does waxing. He has so kindly offered to pay for it all as a present from the children so I can treat myself.
Before I go ahead and book for a good strip off, how much does it hurt?
Areas I'm thinking are legs and bikini line (or everything down below if it's worth the pain!)

Thanks for advice!

I’m early 40s and I’ve been “all off” for years. I think there is quite a different reaction according to your skin type.

4 major tips from me:

  • Take a couple of paracetamol before;
  • Don’t go for a wax just before your period;
  • Don’t have sex the same day;
  • Make sure they use hot wax.

As with a lot of things in life, the first time is the worst (but not awful) after that the body seems to adjust. The worst thing is the regrowth between sessions, but that is unavoidable, but it does become softer. And it feels much nicer in the warm weather, or to put it bluntly, less sweaty!

If you become a regular, it is likely you won’t need the paracetamol.

Enjoy your massage.

It’s like taking plaster off. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would say pain level depends on the amount and coarseness of hair. I've been waxed for decades and it still hurts.
