very damaged hair

My hair got messed up during lockdown by a hairdresser - he whacked bleach perm colour on it which I didn't ask for (asked for bleach highlights) and I didn't realise until it was actually on (thought he was doing another colour before or a treatment).

Anyway... I now have to grow out the bleach and it's been natural and been cut a few times since but the condition is bad - it was weak before and it's not so bad now.

My usual hairdresser doesn't like Olaplex so not using that. I also haven't liked Olaplex or similar when it's been used on my hair.

I used something great which I bought a few years ago called L'Oreal Professionel Pro Fiber Recover serum in cream - of course it's been discontinued, says it's for damaged hair - it's not a serum - it's more a cream.

Anyone know of anything similar? An Ebay seller in USA has it but won't ship to UK!

Have you tried olaplex no.3? My friend had very damaged hair due to years of bleaching and her hair would snap off. She used it a couple of times a week, overnight I believe , its made a massive difference, her hair is so lovely now! She also uses a hair oil. Her results we're not an I overnight miriacle, she did this for a while. Have you looked at the Kérastase products ? My sister didn't get on with olaplex but gets on with Kérastase

thanks all - not a mask I need - I have that but more like a cream-serum which sits on the hair after drying.
