How to wear coloured jeans

I have these from Zara and a pair of green ones in the same style. I'm at a loss of what to wear them with apart from a white T-shirt which is not great for February!

How would you style them? What tops, shoes etc? Photos appreciated!

Big polo neck slouchy jumper in Black, navy, cream or light grey? With a French tuck?

Ivory boho shirt/ blouse

Cream knit (see sezane gaspard type cardi )

White t shirt and cons with slouchy cardi

Navy and white Breton and trainers

Likely I personally wouldn't wear them on a wet day - too many memories

And now I can't stop thinking about those lilac jeans!! @OldLadyInPolyester are they true to size? Might have to get my own pair Wink

OldLadyInPolyester · 01/03/2022 15:33

@Chocolateteabag Yes I'd say they are.

Everything I've worn with them so far makes me look like a kids TV presenter so I do need to try and make them look more grown up!

I did nearly put them on yesterday when it was pouring but remembered the soggy legs from years gone by and quickly changed my mind Grin

I have a similar pair in green
So far I've worn a band t shirt and a black blazer
A grey thin knit jumper with slight slouch and a sort of long biker style hoodie
A black and white chunky jumper
A plain black jumper and a 3/4 length "pony hair" leopard print coat

All with either lug soles boots or IM beckett boots in black (I'm making a comeback as I forgot how much I loved them)

I'm going to try a lilac mohair slouchy jumper next

I think this shade of lilac would look good with burgundy. Maybe a loose, but not too long, burgundy jumper in some warm chunky yarn?

Casheeeew · 01/03/2022 19:31

Does seem they'd go better for warmer weather when you can wear white tops.

Having said that, I had a purple pair of PVC trousers back in the day, a la Buffy Summers. And I rocked those with black long sleeved tees and heeled boots Grin

RonCarlos · 01/03/2022 19:34

Are they back in? I saw someone in pink cords yesterday. I'd need to wear those with Buffy boots too. They are lovely but very long. (Or I am very boring).

There seem to be a lot of coloured jeans / trousers around at the mo so I guess they must be. I'm not exactly the height of fashion though Grin

I have both those trousers. I wear with little cardigans tucked in, at this time of year. I love them. Wherever I go, teenagers compliment me on my jeans and ask where I got them. And I am 55 so very unusual.
