Long and short sleeve. Preferably scoop neck and natural fibres.

Can anyone recommend anything?

Uniqlo - have had mine for a few years now and they wash so well - and never fade to grey!

Sadly there aren’t many stores in the UK but I’m sure you can buy online.

Thank you! I always forget about Uniqlo. Yes, it's the fading which bugs me. I bought one online a while ago and I swear it arrived faded - not meant to be that way as it was a smart-ish one. I sometimes dye mine back to black but they need to be cotton or it doesn't seem to take

I have some nice ones that have washed well from river island!

I have a lovely organic cotton one from H&M, came in a pretty cheap two pack with a grey and black stripy one. It's says it is "tight fit" but it really isn't but it is a nice slightly tapered shape. Have washed it loads and not in any special dark colour wash liquid and it's still jet black.

I like Rapanui for ethical basics @SoberSerena You can often do bundles or multi buy pick and mix offers too. Eg 5 plain tshirts for £35 and pick and mix colours and sizes.

I refresh some of my black clothes with wash in black dye from Wilkos. I have a black T-shirt that I bought several years ago from Matalan and it has been brilliant. It was described as a crew neck, but is really slightly scoop necked which suits me beautifully.

Thanks, I'll check out Rapanui.
