Lips huge after filler

Had my lips done this afternoon. They are ridiculously huge and swollen. Please someone tell me they go down and quickly.
Right now I don’t feel I can leave the house. They are massive!

They do go down but not quickly. Ice packs on them help. It’ll take a couple of weeks for them to settle!

iwishu · 27/02/2022 21:00

How much filler did you have? I had 0.5ml at a time, a bit swollen but not massive, settled down after a few days, by two weeks hardly noticeable.

Bellyups · 27/02/2022 21:02

Mine take about 12-14 days for swelling to subside gradually.

Shainago · 27/02/2022 21:03

Yes they take time to go down

Mischiefofmice · 27/02/2022 21:03

2 weeks??! Oh Lord… it was only 0.5 ml. I am panicking now.

How long to not look ridiculously big tho???

0.5 ml will go down dont worry.
Some people take longer than others to heal but on average it will take more or less a week

Mischiefofmice · 27/02/2022 22:00

Good, cos right now I look like a very unattractive Mick Jagger.

Is it the first time you have had it done? Perhaps you are thinking they look huge but in reality look normal if first time?

Borracha · 28/02/2022 09:03

I've had mine done once and will never do it again. My lips were so swollen for the first few days and I had little bruises on my lip line as well. I looked bloody ridiculous. DH couldn't stop laughing and I was so cross with myself for doing it.

User76745333 · 28/02/2022 09:05

Mine always look ridiculous for a few days. I only ever have 0.5ml but make sure I’m not seeing anyone for a few days afterwards. A week later they will have settled

givemeallthecheese · 28/02/2022 09:16

Well at least you can wear a mask outside nowadays Grin
Don't worry they'll go down!

2 or 3 days OP and take antihistamines.
