It's loud! But feels joyful and celebratory and certainly doesn't look bridal or bridesmaid-y - and thats the only 'real' criteria.

Personal the pattern and colour is quite garish and more what I'd expect to see on a beach/around the pool than a hotel wedding.

I love it and it's a real bargain. Definitely ok for a wedding with nice shoes and bag but could also be worn again somewhere less formal. I hate buying outfits that are very clearly formal attire only as they only get worn once

Personally, I have never heard this. My family are Irish and dbros wife is. They had loads of green and gold at the wedding as a tip to our families. Infact, the bridesmaids wore green.

But, doesn't mean you made it up. I just haven't heard that one.

I think this thread shows that MN will never be happy with any wedding guest dress suggestions!

This dress has no white, isn't black, isn't full length, isn't a bridesmaid dress, isn't red, etc... and yet it is "too loud" and "beachwear-like". Although, not any beach I have been too tbh.

OP, i think it's a great dress

I can honestly say in all my years I've never seen anyone wear a dress like that round a pool or a beach
