Office wear

So I am going from 12 hour nursing shifts to office hours (still in a health care environment). I've worn a uniform since my first job so this is the first time I've had to think about office wear and I have no clue!

I'm a size 12 and 5'8. I suit dresses/skirts over trousers. I'm always cold so prefer something warmer and I still need to be able to walk around/bend down etc. So no high heels. Any ideas? How many outfits should I be looking at?

Get some skirts and dresses and tights or leggins and some flat shoes. As to how many, depending on how often do you need a clean outfit I suppose.

How many days a week are you working? Is it smart casual?

I went from ward work to office. I wear trousers, jumpers, skirts with tights and smart t-shirts/blouses. Also like long cardigans when the office is cold.

I don't wear heels normally but will wear some black heeled ankle boots with a dress/skirt and top with tights.
I found M&S and Next do really nice comfortable flat shoes.

My office is generally smart-casual. I can get away with leggings, a decent top and a long cardi. I even wear slipper boots at work too as do others since we rarely have customers coming into the office anymore post-lockdowns.

I'll be doing mon-fri. I went shopping today and picked up a midi skirt and roll neck jumper and a silky shirt and smart black skinny jeans and a pair of black flats. I have a few midi skirts I think would go. I'm pretty sure its smart casual. The office staff at interview were in black trousers and blouses.

I have quite a few smart dresses for warmer weather but its the colder weather I'm struggling with! Any decent black trousers recommendations?

I work in an office where jeans of any kind/ colour would not be acceptable. It will depend on your office ethos.

Good old M&S will have black work trousers. I also am a fan of navy as it can look classier than straight black.

I second M&S for trousers. Worth investing in a black and navy pair.
