Shampoo for thick hair that doesn’t weigh it down

Hello

I have thick hair. Not necessarily lots, but the strands are thick definitely. I often get headaches if my hair becomes greasy, or if i use conditioner on my hair, which makes it impossible to deal with!

I’ve tried various ones (the ogx, (?) coconut one was my latest foray) but I always end up going back to a tresemme deep cleansing one which is a type of clarifying one I think. It doesn’t leave it heavy, but I do think it is very stripping.

Can anyone recommend a lightweight type shampoo that wont strip, but is gentle enough to use every other day or every third day?

Using tresemme leaves it fluffy and non heavy, but it’s not a look i like. I don’t do anything to my hair (dryer or straighteners etc) or use any products (I don’t know how to lol) to leave it looking good, so just need a gentle but cleansing shampoo.

Ideally something that can be bought at a large supermarket and isn’t too expensive - but I’m willing to try out something that really works!

I also have thick hair. They do do one spefically for greased hair, but I also like the dream length one, even though my hair is short-medium length.

Alberto Balsam tea tree - costs £1. I get tempted away by other more expensive shampoos, and always come back to this one.
