Please help! What do I wear to this event?

I am attending an event for work on Wednesday and need help planning an outfit Smile

This event will have senior colleagues and stakeholders present, we speak a lot over Teams and I don’t want their impression of me in person to be bad. We work in public sector, this event be hosted at a major public building in our area and will be open to the public.

So I want to look the part. I returned to work after having DD in summer - still don’t feel confident about my figure. I generally wear oversized jumpers. I’m mid 20s and a size 10 but carrying a lot on my midriff, I’m essentially an apple shape now.

What do you think I should wear? I was kind of leaning towards an oversized silky shirt and trousers but don’t know if I’m making the best impression.

What about a dress?

These blouses might work

But I think I would wear a soft blazer as well

Anything which isn't jeans, hoody or tracksuit, trainers will be fine.

What gives you confidence? For me its a trouser suit, tailored jacket. I can wear this with a teeshirt and trainers or killer heels and a silk top depending on the event, but its my go to option for any time I need some extra confidence.

So what's yours or would have been previously? What's your most favourite piece in your wardrobe now and can you build from that? So if you've got a top that you love, what can you wear with it?
