Should I microblade?

I'm considering getting my eyebrows microbladed as I want to save some time in the mornings.

Please tell me of your good or bad experiences of them. How long do they last? Were you happy with the shape?

My bone structure is different on both my eyebrows so I have to draw them on in a different shape in order for them to look symmetrical. If I followed the shape of my face on each eyebrow they would come out looking different to eachother. I hope that makes sense.
Would a microblader take that into account?

This is my main concern...that they would end up looking asymmetric despite them drawing them the same shape.

Thanks

There are some fab micro bladers out there and some poor ones. My experience was not good - they faded within 3 months now I have horrible greyish stains. I just pencil them on daily but really should get them done by someone decent.

I would do some research and find someone really good. I went for a microblading consultation but the therapist recommend powder brows after an extensive consultation and talking about exaclty what I wanted. I had them done in Winter 2020 so over a year on and they don't need topping up yet, I was told they should last 12 months minimum and they've done longer than that.

I was quite anxious about it but it's the best decision I made and she really put me at ease.

Get a recommendation and speak to the therapist about your concerns and show her what you do to get yours looking symmetrical.

I love mine, they’re very natural

Depends on how much you need filling in and therefore how many touch ups you need over the years. I’ve had friends that started out with lovely looking microblading but over the years they’ve become ‘blurred’ and lost the effect when they had their touch ups. I went for ombré cosmetic tattoo and I bloody love them, absolutely the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I’ve already had one touch up (after about 2 years) and they look just as good as when I first got them done.

I had mine done nearly 4 years ago now and never looked back. I love them! I've just had them touched up for the 2nd time.

It's not the most pleasant experience and it's not cheap either. Go with someone highly rated or recommend.

FlushTheLoo · 26/02/2022 18:27

I regret having mine done. The lines just all became blurred and now it just looks grey - weird!

ExactlyThis · 26/02/2022 18:34

I’m 5 years down the line and they’re still there. Unfortunately they have faded to the red undertone so they’re ginger. My actual eyebrows are darkest ash brown so not ideal.

Personally I’d never recommend it due to the fade out process.

I'm actually booked in for this in a few weeks! Exactly what I was looking for, as I'm not keen on the microbladed look.
