How embarrassing, the website is playing up on me!

Here we go again…

I’ve ordered these two dresses. Big birthday party in a private room for lunch at a posh restaurant, followed by cocktails.

Dress 1 I find more suited to the day and would get worn again I think on holiday with flat sandals. The belt means it’s more future proof if I put on weight.

Dress 2 I find prettier but more eveningy. Not sure I’d get much wear out of it again. Plus it has a side zip and is tighter so less forgiving if I put on weight.

Any thoughts?

Definitely 1. It's edgier, more versatile and you obviously feel more comfortable in it. It's a no brainer.

Dress 1 has a very deep V neck - that'll be very cleavagey unless you have a very small cleavage. That plus the short length is a lot for day - though I suppose it depends a lot on your body type.

Yes the V is very deep (and I have an ample chest unfortunately). But the fabric actually drapes quite modestly, although I was going to sew a small popper fastener onto it so it doesn’t gape…
