Really noticeable dark brown roots even when hair is just done

Is there any way to avoid this, I really am not keen on it at all. Am I being overly fussy or have my highlights not been done very well?

Yeah that isn't good. Send the salon the photo and ask how can they rectify, at their expense.

It doesn’t look like highlights. It looks like regrowth from an all over dye. I get dark roots as well but not as defined as that.

I agree, that looks like an all over colour, except that the stylist missed a bit at the front Confused (sorry)

I get blonde highlights, and they are never to the root like yours, and my own natural colour acts like a base/lowlight

I’m so glad you said this … I was mystified as she was doing it differently to how she normally does. The colour is also quite yellow.

Problem is she’s an independent stylist - not sure what to do Shock hate situations like this.

It was only done on Tuesday too so shouldn’t look like this.

This looks like all over colour, rather than highlights?

Either way, a toner will (temporarily) blend the new and old and natural colours. Did the colorist tone it?

Catsbythefireside · 25/02/2022 13:05

I think so. She put lilac colouring on me for a while which I don’t recall her ever having done before.

I am a bit annoyed to be honest as I did query what was going on but she kept insisting we always did this and so I questioned my own mind!

Find another colourist.
