I've never brought from this brand before, but I've seen a animal print shirt in the sale, it's still £55 down from £69 , the only thing is it's polyester, now i know I could buy from newlook a similar item for a under half the price, is it worth it.

I like their cashmere. I bought the boxy cardigan and it’s really nice. The cut is more modern than M&S, Pure, Boden etc. I’ve worn it a lot and it’s hardly pilled. Not as nice as Brora though!

I have a couple of coats I bought from there a few years ago which still look good. I also like their boots because I have narrowish feet. The length of the trousers and skirts are good for me, also they tend to cut their shoulders slightly wide. Some of the fabrics are awful, and the linen is not good at all.

They’ve got 20% off new season at moment

In fact I think H and M is better for most things

Yes it’s Polyester but their stuff is bomb proof in terms of stains / smells / comfort and provided you don’t overwash everything looks brand new even years after washing. I recently switched to Whistles from Hobbs for my posh workwear because I work with kids and needed clothing I didn’t have to change before joining in play etc. with man made materials I had to be incredibly careful which is no way to live when you have a nursery lol

I seem to remember that they got taken over by some Private Equity group and whenever this happens the quality bombs (see also Wagamama). Hence the switch to polyester. The cut is better than elsewhere but it isn’t the same shop as when Jane Shephardson was there. And all those bloody tops with silly french slogans are odd.

I used to look in there, and the favourite item of clothing I owned was a dusky pink silk top. I see there have been a couple of 'used to' comments already. I was going to say that it used to be good, and good quality.
