Makeup advice with black and nude dress

What would you do for makeup with this dress?

It's based on a former Karen Millen dress, plain black and not fancy with a cross over V neck and medium straps for sleeves (have had this years). On the crossover seam, I have now added a little gold fan that has black and nude/champagne ribbons hanging from it, and a nude/champagne silk rose with a black silk knot centre. I think that's going to be fixed further up nearer a strap. It's a little bit 1920s/Oriental style. I'm a little bit early 40s and pale with blue eyes - I don't wear makeup, usually because it can irritate my eyes. Would love any thoughts from people who are good at this.

If you have blue eyes purple, pink and gold/pink shimmer shadows look great.

I’d go with a nude or really light pink lipstick and for the eyes some neutral pinks and rose gold champagne colours. Winged eyeliner also looks great on pretty much everyone.

I'd usually wear green, so have things like light greens and greys for eyeshadow.
