Lip flip or filler for top lip (pic attached)

I'm thinking of getting 0.5ml in my top lip. I've never had filler before.

But also doing research on lip flips (Botox). Has anyone had this done?

If anyone on here knows anything about lips, could you recommend for me what to do?

Sorry I can't help but I think your lips are lovely!

Cosmos123 · 23/02/2022 20:24

Your lips are lovely.
Don't ruin them with fillers.

GinIronic · 23/02/2022 20:26

Don't waste your money. Lip fillers are so plastic, unnecessary and obvious.

buttercrinkle · 23/02/2022 20:29

I think you have lovely lips.

But if you do want to get filler, make sure you go with a well reviewed place with a medical professional carrying it out.

Contrary to popular belief, fillers don't have to look fake or "plastic". 0.5ml will be subtle and people that know you probably won't even be able to tell.

I've also heard good things about lip flips.

Yes exactly, just 0.5ml, nothing crazy. Just want to plump up the top lip/cupids bow.

Nothing is wrong with your lips. And I’m not adverse to treatments.

MichaelAndEagle · 23/02/2022 20:36

I think you've already got full lips. I'd leave them. They're nice as they are.

Cotswoldmama · 23/02/2022 20:42

I agree with pps your lips are very full, leave them!

I have had a lip flip with botox as was too afraid to go full on filler. I did notice a difference and i really liked it but it didnt last long and left me wanting more (the filler). Havent quite gone there yet as worried about the pain. I find a good lip liner can create a fuller top lip and also enhances the lip flip look. Its also cheaper than filler. Perhaps try that first and then move onto filler? I agree with other posters though you have good lips but i understand what you mean about wanting to enhance the cupids bow.

Can I ask how long your lip flip lasted?

I get Botox (forehead and crows feet) every 12 weeks, is it around the same time for lips?

Every 12 weeks?
Are you for real?
Leave your face alone.

westonx · 23/02/2022 21:02

I have had both and tend to do them both together now - lip flip helps with gummy smile and I get filler for plumping 😊

Filler lasts about 4 months the first time but after the second/ third time it lasts about 9 months now. Lip flip lasts about 3 months on me.

Lip flip stings but over quickly! 😊

catfunk · 23/02/2022 21:08

Ermmm @RachHen it wears off pretty quickly in most people you know. 12 weeks is standard to maintain.

RachHen · 23/02/2022 21:21

I do know. But 12 weeks too soon imo

catfunk · 23/02/2022 21:24

@RachHen why is it too soon if it's worn off in 2 months for example ?

RachHen · 23/02/2022 21:37

I’ve had it for years. 12 weeks too often IMO

Nessnext · 23/02/2022 22:01

Honestly, you don't need it.

BatonRouge · 23/02/2022 22:41

Everyone is different, depending on genetic make up and how much is administered. Every 12 weeks is fine if it starts to dissipate.
