Perfumistas please advise

Back in the 70s/early 80s my Father would often bring my Mother perfume if he was travelling abroad.
It was in a box with a black and white dogtooth check pattern and the short wide bottle was plain clear rectangular glass with a black cylindrical top.
I was sure that it was Miss Dior, but it looks completely different now ( it definitely wasn't pink) .

Please could anyone identify it from the description? I'd love to buy it for her. Thank you

I think the original Miss Dior came in a black and white box, which as far as I know was a completely different perfume to the current Miss Dior.

I'm not sure if you can still buy the old formula somewhere? Or maybe a decent dupe? Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be here soon.

Its the original Miss Dior and I'm pretty sure it is still available.
