Help! Holiday hair nightmare...

I need your best practical advice. My hairdresser is on maternity leave and her replacement did a terrible job of my cut and colour. So I am leaving on holiday this Friday with old friends I haven't seen in years and wanted to look amazing. I booked into a supposedly fabulous local hairdresser to transform me at an appointment today but forgot to go in for a colour patch test last week (so stupid!!). They got in touch last night to say they're happy to cut and style my hair bur can't colour it because of their insurance and can't fit me in before Friday. Never coloured my own hair and wouldn't dare....what do I do????

Go for the test today and rebook for Thursday?

Is the colour for roots or just to look nice? Could you ask the hairdressers advice about a home colour masque/treatment? Could you go somewhere else?

Roots unfortunately and I will ask him for advice. I'll ring around other salons but would anyone just do colour?

Yes you'll be able to book in for just a colour.
Do you have a full head colour? with foils? What colour is it?
If it's one full colour red based or dark is attempt at home I do my own colour have done last few years but it's dark brown would not attempt blonde at home

Simple semi permanent fark brown colour streaked through my hair so my natural highlights show through.....I miss my old hairdresser so much as she did my hair so well and I'm a complete lover when it comes to beauty stuff. Don't know if I'd dare yo do it myself.
