Best no VPL knickers?

Hi wise ones,
I'm looking for good no vpl knickers as I am trying to ditch the constant skinny jeans and long line top/jumper uniform I seem to wear, though noticing that all my knickers show through wide leg trousers! I remember seeing recommendations on here before but can't remember what they were!

Ideally I would like cotton ones as I hate the feel of microfiber, and due to having 2 c sections, I prefer more midi styles than smaller ones, even better if there's a slight hold in feeling - not shapewear as such, hard to explain!
TIA for any suggestions, I'm already very conscious of my hips/bum/Thigh area so don't want any more reasons to be! Though maybe wide leg trousers will make that area look worse?... I really am clueless!

I got a five- pack of Danskin ones in TK MAXX yesterday. Really soft and comfy. About £12.99.
M&S no VPL- always rip and the gusset is too narrow
Sloggi another possibility but they are expensive.

Ohh good to hear, I will check that brand out! Yea my budget doesn't stretch to anything too expensive. Thanks!

Any other recommendations welcome!

I’m after the same. I’ve decided I want shorts like my husband wears! High waist, definite legs. Not very sexy but his seem to fit perfectly under trousers!

I got some Bye Bra Invisible panties from TK Maxx. No VPL and wash very well. I've spotted them on Amazon, where there is also a Seamless Brief version. A lot more expensive than they were at TK Maxx though.

I always buy the 'shorts' style for no VPL. M&S do that shape, mine are microfibre but I'm sure they do cotton versions too.

Jiggy16 · 21/02/2022 22:33

Yes shorts are a good idea! I'm just worried my Thighs will be too tight in them and I'll still get lines lol. Will have a look at that, thanks!

I tried other styles like high leg, high rise etc but always come back to these. No VPL. I am a pear shape with wide thighs. Very comfortable. Just a bit boring to go for black but it does eliminate having to choose.

I know thongs aren't popular and most are very uncomfortable, but I buy these year after year and you don't even know you're wearing them, just size up. They're so cheap, cotton and far more comfortable than bigger knickers and definitely undetectable under trousers.

These are fab. I chucked all my others out and stocked up. Comfortable and smooth.

To be honest, due to the thickness of many cotton fabrics, i think you are going to be hard pressed to combine cotton, (which has no stretch) and no VPL.

Moving on though, l think that unless a knickerline is absolutely screaming at you, l think people get overly concerned about this. At the end of the day, all a knickerline means is that you have knickers on! Bra outlines often show, particularly in the summer and nobody bats an eyelid.
