Finding the right silver locket

My DD is 21 next month, seems like she was starting school only last year! I got some brilliant advice in this forum when trying to find a school leaving ball outfit (black sequinned suit she looked amazing in). She’s quite quirky and not into hearts and flowers although has worn a dress this year - first time in nearly a decade - and what I would call a “goth-lite”, although she would roll her eyes at this!
My mum died last year, on DDs birthday, and they were really close. I would like to get her a silver or white gold locket and put in the last photo of the two of them together. But all I can find online is too plain, too heart shaped, too small, too mainstream. I was wondering if anyone could suggest somewhere with lockets a little more interesting!
Fingers crossed you can work your magic again!

Might be way off, but would she like one that actually displays the photo rather than keeps it hidden in a locket?

from Argento

There are lots on Etsy including vintage ones.

Nice vintagey one here (this seller has loads of different ones)

Plain round one

Love this one

Have you had a look on Etsy for silver lockets? Maybe search for goth, or steam punk as well.

I got a beautiful silver Vespa case/ locket for Christmas from Etsy. It's gorgeous and a one-off.

Houseplantmad · 19/02/2022 23:24

Vesta not Vespa!

LilyBlanche have beautiful quirky things. Many lockets, but I love their charm pendants containing little surprises eg nut containing a tiny squirrel etc.

I agree with others about vintage victorian lockets you can buy from Etsy. They fit the gothic victorian theme as lockets were incredibly popular then and are often unique and beautiful plus they will have a history. I would make sure they are hallmarked silver with a genuine victorian date and not a modern reproduction as some claim to be victorian but are mass produced.
