Eyelash serum - does it work? Which brand?

I can't wear mascara, and successfully dye my lashes myself, but it would be nice it they were thicker/longer. I've seen various serums advertised, but do they actually work?
I'm wondering about No7 Lash Impact, but happy to consider other makes if anyone has a recommendation. Thanks!

I’ve got Rapidlash. I do think my eyelashes look better, or maybe I’ve got better at applying mascara! 😄

I’ve read that some serums change your eye colour due to the ingredients being similar to those in glaucoma medication. Would love to know if it’s true or not.

BeanieRecentToTheUK · 18/02/2022 17:44

I can also vouch for RapidLash. Don't wear any make-up but do tint my lashes and brows and have been using RapidLash for about 6/7 years now with great success in so far as length. Tried some other cheaper ones in between only to revert back to RapidLash.

Pricy but sooooo worth it - Revitalash. I buy it from Cult Beauty when they are offering a discount or beauty bag.

Post pregnancy I’ve had lots of problems with my hair and eyelashes falling out, ending up with gaps in my lashes. This makes them all grow back and makes them super long and more resilient. Love the stuff. Takes about a month to work though.

Uk lash worked for me

It's about £32 from qvc

Howdidthathappen1 · 18/02/2022 21:18

I so wish I'd had success with any eyelash serum - I've seen so many good reviews and seen for myself at how amazingly revitalash worked on my friend however none of them have worked for me - revitalash, rapid lash, UK lash, nyx - all tried applied as directed for at least 3 months. Nothing. Gutted.

HermioneWeasley · 18/02/2022 21:37

Worked for me. I buy whatever’s cheap on Amazon - I don’t pay more than £10

KatharinaRosalie · 19/02/2022 08:42

Silly George serum. I had stumpy little lashes and now they're up to my eyebrows, really good stuff.

Totalwasteofpaper · 19/02/2022 08:44

Rapidlash and yes it works

InTheNameOfAllThatIsHonest · 19/02/2022 09:27

I use RapidLash but it's £27 on a good day on Amazon. What do you buy that works and is under £10?
imnottoofussed · 19/02/2022 09:42

Yes NYK1 definitely works

DelphiniumBlue · 19/02/2022 13:46

Thanks for all the answers.
Lots of you have recommended RapidLash, so I think I'll try that. Fingers crossed!

Used UK Lash & the Boots No7 one, neither made any difference for me despite using religiously every day for weeks.

PinkestMoon · 19/02/2022 17:54

I got an Uber cheap eclat one on Amazon having used rapid lash before. And it's good! And only £6

@ISmellBurnings yes that's true, some contain bimatoprost which is a glaucoma medication. A side effect of it was increased hair growth so they've capitalised on it. Unfortunately a side effect of bimatoprost is change in eye colour so I stopped using the serum my friend used to bring me back from Poland as didn't want to take the risk.
Vaxhubsandwich · 22/02/2022 22:56

Revelash or the original Long4Lashes (not the new 5xl one) have the active ingredient bitamoprost, which is in the very expensive ones.
Revelash is under a tenner on eBay.

faustina · 23/02/2022 09:03

@InexperiencedDogOwner - I have just started Revitalash. What colour will my eyes change to? They're currently light brown

Wiennetta · 23/02/2022 09:37

I use one with Bimatoprost in it. The risk to eye colour change is really minimal - it’s reported in 1-2% of patients who use the same active ingredient as a glaucoma medication, but in that use it’s applied to the eye (like any other eye drop). For eyelash growth, a drop is sort of painted onto the lash line, so very little of the drug is getting into the eye itself. As far as I’m aware there aren’t any reports of people using it for eyelash growth reporting colour change. Yes something to think about for sure but for me it’s not a worry. I’ve used it for years and my eyelashes look like false lashes.

Mumsnut · 23/02/2022 10:17

Which o e, Wienerta, if you do t mind me asking?

declutteringmymind · 23/02/2022 11:25

Rapidlash. Put it in your Amazon basket or saved for later list and it does go down in price toward the £20 mark

Hoolahoophop · 23/02/2022 11:32

I tried the mylee one along with their lash dye and saw a difference.

ToastCosILoveIt · 23/02/2022 17:08

@Wiennetta, really interested to know which serum you use, very many thanks.

AtrociousCircumstance · 23/02/2022 17:11

UK lash worked like a dream for me - took a few weeks.

Psychonabike · 23/02/2022 17:29

NYK1 -I use this, it works and doesn't have any of the ingredients with potentially dodgy side effects. Quite impressive.

Mind you, I use Rapid Brow (from Rapid Lash) too and that has really filled out my over plucked brows. Also really impressive, but I didn't want to use similar products so close to my eyes.

Wiennetta · 23/02/2022 17:32
@Wiennetta, really interested to know which serum you use, very many thanks.
@ToastCosILoveIt I’ve purchased from Eyelash Logic before, and then their prices went up and I’ve got it from Skinfinity since then www.skinfinityclinic.co.uk/love-your-lashes

But it doesn’t really matter where you get it from as it’s the same active ingredient so have a good of Bimatoprost for eyelashes.

ToastCosILoveIt · 23/02/2022 18:55

Thank you @Wiennetta
