Mine is probably a new Coach belt which I was about to buy from John Lewis for £125. Got it for £45

A lovely pair of brand new Jaeger wool trousers for £4. And I was also very pleased with a pair of All Saints boots for £20 - probably worn only a couple of times.

OneOfTheGrundys · 18/02/2022 09:48

Frye boots, vintage, virtually unused, £40.

BodgertheJogger · 18/02/2022 10:00

A John Lewis cashmere cardigan for £10 in perfect condition

Floydthebarber · 18/02/2022 10:35

Is Vinted worth a look then? I got a perfect Kate Spade bag off ebay for less than £40 but hate the time it takes to find things like that. Is Vinted easier to search?

gunnersgold · 18/02/2022 12:52

I love Vinted , I've bought a few pairs of mens levis which are About £60 on Etsy etc for £6! They will be everywhere in the summer !
I sell really well on there too!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 18/02/2022 18:37

I merino wool M&S jumper for £4, and some DM shoes for £15.

FigitBit · 18/02/2022 20:22

Hogan platform trainers for a tenner

FabalaThropp · 18/02/2022 21:04

Pretty much everything in my wardrobe is All Saints now and I got most of the individual pieces on Vinted for less than a tenner.

FabalaThropp · 18/02/2022 21:05

Oh, and some lovely merino wool Cynthia Rowley dresses for about 3 quid each.

mimiasovitch · 18/02/2022 21:20

I had a pair of Tamaris knee high boots, absolutely gorgeous, fit perfectly and virtually unworn, for £10. Plus a pair of ankle boots, again looking like they'd not been worn for £5. Lots of other bits and bobs, mostly hits but some misses. I don't really mind as I rarely spend a lot

chillydownwiththefiregang · 18/02/2022 22:58

I have an amazing immaculate wool coat, £4. An amazing maxi skirt BNWT £2.

tigerbear · 18/02/2022 23:46

Vinted is my new obsession!
Got an immaculate Joseph leather trench coat for £110 (would’ve been at least £1k new!)

FireInCairo · 19/02/2022 17:42

Yes it's quite an obsession of mine too.

I've recently bought some face oil (sealed and boxed!) for £5 instead of the usual £39 that I pay and some Gucci Bee trainers for £140 - lightly worn but were £550 new

And now debating a Chanel card holder

FireInCairo · 19/02/2022 17:47

Oh and also £38 for a pair of Air & Grace trainers which are usually £160.

So there's definite bargains to be had

I had a look at Vinted last night after reading this thread. Massive rabbit hole. Thanks! (Not sarcastic)

I was moaning on another thread, about the poor quality of high street clothes that Karen Millen used to be fab with great details and fabrics. Found loads of vintage KM in Vinted, and massive bargains too.

Think I will work my way through all the brands I like. I looked at the Joseph gear as well following the recommendation upthread.

Iamthewombat · 19/02/2022 19:35

But, I do not like the ‘wardrobe spotlight’ feature which introduces stuff I do not want to look at. Take note, Vinted!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 19/02/2022 23:01

I prefer Depop. My best buys have been DM boots worn a handful of times, and brand new Birkenstock Bostons, both costing £40. I just bought a BNWT &OtherStories jumper, current season, for £25.
