Knee length boots for short-arses (5ft ish)

I'm not sure this comes under style or beauty because I've realised from reading S and B that I am mostly living in a parallel universe to most other posters, but it seemed the more obvious section( I wouldn't recognise a mulberry or Osprey bag if it punched me in the face let alone surmise where the wearer bought it!Blush)

Anyway ...to my point. I would like a pair of boots (brown or black leather) that finish just below the knee... but I'm under 5ft and most knee length boots sit just on the knee which is a) uncomfortable and b) unflattering.

In the last 12 years I've bought 3 pairs- one was a kids pair and 2 were doc Martens. The current pair was from ebay about 6 years ago but there is a limit to how many times I can get them re-heeled!

Any suggestions from fellow shorties what might fit the bill? Ideally they would not be completely flat (ugg style) but have maybe a 1" heel.

I bought some long boots from Mango in the sale - in 5ft2" and they come up just below my knees, I was thrilled!

They were mid calf on the model in the photos, but obviously longer/ higher for me.

You need heel risers in your boots - makes a huge difference and stops them cutting in at the back. Lots of riding boot firms do them (ariat, Dublin) but I just ordered some cheap ones from Amazon and they work perfectly!
