Obagi products and where to buy them

I've recently been for a skin consultation and I've been advised to use the obagi clenziderm md kit. The clinic are selling it at a staggering £175 though and I'm sure it will be cheaper elsewhere . But where to buy genuine obagi??

If anyone has a clue please let me know and help me rescue my horrible spotty skin 😩

Clenziderm is basically a 2% Salicylic Acid solution (and cleanser)

I started using it but swapped to Paula's Choice 2% BHA/Salicylic Acid instead. The Ordinary also does a version too. More knowledgeable folks will be along with more suggestions.

There are lots of cheaper alternatives so you don't need to stick to Obagi.

If you look into it a bit, you will be able to find the same products buy not Obagi branded for way cheaper.

I can't believe some people pay in excess of £100 for Obagi tretinoin when you can get it for like 20 quid online.

Have you tried La Roche-Posay Effaclar? These two in particular.

Retinol or tretinoin doesn’t need to be £££ and would help your skin too.

I had fabulous results from obagi but the kits include cleaners, which you don't need. Their strong stuff is prescription only though, so a doc/nurse needs to prescribe it but yes, agree with the above comment to look at the active ingredients and replicate it in other products.

Skinstation is an online stockist.
In my experience Obagi systems work more effectively than different products from different brands. The initial outlay is worth the results.

shittyskin · 17/02/2022 08:11

I've used benzoyl peroxide and Paula's choice acid separately and they've not been amazing , worked but not as effectively. I've tried obagi before and there's honestly nothing like it. The ingredients might be the same but the results are mind blowing, I tried the nu derm system last time.

@Daydreamsinsantafe yes ordered from them before but they don't seem to have the clenziderm.

I've done the nu derm system and agree that it's fantastic.

Imabouttoexplode · 17/02/2022 10:30

Sorry, pressed post too soon. I ask my botox nurse to prescribe and order on line for me. I've used her for years though, so I know her pretty well but it's a good way of accessing prescription stuff without the faff of a dermatology appointment.

Daydreamsinsantafe · 17/02/2022 22:52

@shittyskin they definitely stock it but as some products within the system are prescription only they are hidden on the main website and only become visible once signed in.

shittyskin · 17/02/2022 23:05

@Daydreamsinsantafe yes I remembered that earlier today and I managed to sign in and find the relevant products , thank you!

Anyone tried the obagi blue peels ?

What's with all the sudden Obagi spam threads?!

tobee · 22/09/2023 13:24

Good question

I’ve reported them twice, this person above you is promoting their website.
