My hair is dry after being cut short- any tips?

Hi everyone
I had my hair cut to chin length with many layers to take the weight off (I have thick hair).

Now my hair has gone incredibly dry. I have not changed my hair products as they always worked well before and I already use shampoo and conditioner for very dry hair.

Any tips appreciated :)

Anything with Argan oil in it. I use a finishing spray, Argan oil Therapy from Superdrug. Quite cheap and part of their Argan oil range.

This exact thing happened to me. I spent months trying different conditioners and oil sprays.

Turns out it was the way the hair had been cut. I know that sounds weird.

The hairdresser was very focused on thinning my thick hair and had cut it so that the layers tapered at the end. The result was my hair seemed wiry and unruly and super dry.

Omg. The next time I had it cut I explained what had happened, to a different hairdresser, so they didn’t thin the ends that way. Now my hair isn’t looking mega dry.

In the time while I had the unsuitable hair cut, I started using elasticiser and revolution plex conditioning treatment. I really recommend both of them.

@KalaniM I think the hair could have done the same with my hair. I will try those products.

Also, does anyone know if coconut oil would work well too?

I tried coconut oil and my hair went very very fluffy and not in a good way. Argan oil is really nice, and so is the inkey list hyaluronic hair treatment.
