Trying to work out what to wear for a wedding, dress code is suits/cocktail dresses (so not black tie). Black tie I completely know what I'd wear, but this needs to be slightly less formal than that. I'm aware March can still be cool outside. We aren't close with the couple.
I'm in my early 40s, size 14 (on the bigger end of this), 5'7", I have a stomach that I don't love, I prefer midi/maxi dresses that float over my stomach, bum, thighs and knees.
I don't have the biggest of budgets (the day will already be costing us hundreds for gift and babysitting for 12 hours and I very rarely have occasion to dress up and go out, so while it will be lovely to have that opportunity, I may well not wear whatever I find to wear again).
Any ideas please?
