Repairing soles of boots?

Do you think the soles of these boots can be salvaged? I took them to a Timpsons and the man said no straight away but I remain unconvinced! Has anyone else had success fixing soles this broken? Thanks!

I came across it this morning when I was looking for something for slippery boot soles.

I don't know because at places like Timpson, they usually just file a bit off to smooth the sole out and then stick another sole on over the top.

Have you tried something like superglue? Is it still attached to the upper?

Most of the sole is still attached, but there is that big crack that is not attached! Yeah that's why I was a bit skeptical about Timpsons. I might try somewhere else
